Academy's staff of instructors are dedicated to your
development in Chinese Martial Arts. What differentiates our
academy from other schools is the PERSONAL ATTENTION you
receive from QUALIFIED INSTRUCTORS. Every one of our
"Instructors" has a minimum of 10 years experience in Choy
Lay Fut Kung Fu and our "Assistant Instructors" are all
trained by Sifu John Wai. The instructors are always
available to assist in your training and to answer any
questions you may have. We encourage you to visit our school
and meet our instructors.

 SIFU
JOHN WAI was born in Hong Kong and began training Kung Fu in
his early teens. He has studied the style of Choy Lay Fut
under the late Master Lee Koon Hung & 4th Generation Master
Wong Gong, and Wing Chun Kung Fu under Master Andrew Chung.
Sifu Wai started teaching martial arts in the mid 1980’s and
has developed his expertise as an Instructor of Chinese Kung
Fu. He established his first school in 1997 and quickly
gained a reputation of producing quality students.
Sifu Wai’s goal is to teach each individual the ability to
facilitate personal growth, health and well being through
Kung Fu. In addition to self defense, Sifu Wai will enhance
your knowledge of Chinese philosophy, Chinese culture, Kung
Fu history and fighting theories.

 Senior
Instructor FRANCINE WAI first began training kung fu at age
seven under her uncle, Master Chan Pui of Wah Lum Kung Fu,
and later trained Choy Lay Fut under the late Master Lee
Koon Hung & 4th Generation Master Wong Gong. Best known for
her expertise in Chinese Kung Fu Weapons, Francine has won
many international championships in both kung fu tournaments
and open martial arts tournaments.
Her last few competitions in the tournament circuit included
first place in Weapons at the 1997 Chinese Nationals and
Grand Championship at the Florida Hall of Fame Tournament.
She has since retired from competition but continues to
train students for national and international competition.

Instructor BILL WRIGHT is heading into his 12th year training
in the style of Choy Lay Fut. Bill quickly advanced through
the ranks and became an instructor in 1994 under the late
Master Lee Koon Hung. His area of expertise is in the
fighting aspect of Choy Lay Fut. Going undefeated in
fighting for three years in a row, Bill quickly gained
recognition in the kung fu tournament circuit. In addition,
Instructor Wright has an extensive knowledge of the history
of the Choy Lay Fut System.

Instructor COREY ENGELHARD was the first American instructor
chosen by the late Master Lee Koon Hung when he opened his
first school in the United States. Corey has won
championships in several major competitions and has advanced
his expertise in the Choy Lay Fut system. He is very
knowledgeable on the specific elements of this system and is
dedicated to the continued development of Choy Lay Fut in
America.

Instructor PAUL GUTILLO began training Northern Shaolin kung
fu in the early 1970’s, and later moved on to study the
style of Choy Lay Fut. Chosen as a senior instructor by the
late Master Lee Koon Hung, Paul went on to win many national
and international championships. He is most noted for
winning the Grand Championship in Fighting at the 1996
Seattle Kung Fu Championships, beating fighters from all
different weight categories.

DOSSY LEWIN (Black Belt) began training kung fu in 1989 in
Northern Shaolin Eagle Claw. In 1997, she moved on to study
Choy Lay Fut Kung Fu. Dossy has won many gold medals in
both forms and weaponry and she is an active member of our
Lion Dance and Demonstration team.

MARTIN DVOROK (Black Belt) started training in martial arts
in his teens. His studies include Judo, Ju-Jutsu, Karate,
and wushu. Martin has been training Choy Lay Fut full time
since 1999. He teaches our kids, adults, kickboxing, sanshou
and jiu jitsu classes.

OSEI XAVIER (Black Belt) teaches Kung Fu and Kickboxing.
He's been training in Choy Lay Fut Kung Fu and Sanshou for
over 7 years and have had previous experience in Muay Thai.
Osei is also proficient in Lion Dance. |

CURLINE EDWARDS (Black Belt) has been training in Kung Fu
for over 8 years. She is a top competitor in Forms and
Weapons and a 3 time Grand Champion. Curline presently
teaches our Kids and Adult's Classes. |
 Instructor EDDIE CAVALIE (Black Belt) teaches in
our Adult's and Kid's classes. Eddie started martial arts at
age 8 and received his Black Belt in Tang Soo Do. He later
moved on to study Choy Lay Fut Kung Fu under Sifu John Wai.

Instructor RAYMOND HO (Black Belt) teaches in our
kid's and adult classes. He
has trained under Sifu Wai in Choy Lay Fut for over 6 years.
Raymond is skilled in Kung Fu forms and weaponry, and a
proficient Lion Dance performer.
